Blog abandonment

I don't know what it is with me and abandoning blogs for months at a time. I'm tempted to blame it on the winter doldrums, but I think the truth is that I just don't have anything worth saying right now. I'm mired in grad school homework ("Intro to Quantitative Research"...blegh), and I spend most of my free time watching TV/playing Xbox with Louie, teaching myself to program, and listening to technology podcasts.

For the past few days, I've been glued to the news about Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. Over 200 people, just...gone. It makes my heart hurt.

I don't think I've picked up my Canon Rebel XSi since the December Photo Project ended, which finally cements something in my mind: photography is most definitely a hobby for me, not something I'm interested in taking up year-round. Programming, on the other hand, may have the potential to last more than a season. Messing with computers has been a favorite activity of mine since I was a kid and I just keep coming back to it. Hopefully that means I'll stick with it. Actually, I think the only reason I didn't go to school for it was because I didn't think I was capable of understanding it. As it turns out, I was wrong.

So yeah, not much new here. Hope the five people who read this are well. :-)
